Our programs.
After-school Tutoring.
Our after-school tutoring program is designed to empower Hispanic children through academic support. We aim to create a safe, and inclusive learning environment that ensures the children receive the support necessary for academic success and personal development. We are currently serving 278 students in the Auburn and Opelika area. Our tutoring occurs from 4:45pm-6:00pm Monday - Thursday. This program is vital for bridging the education gap and breaking down learning barriers in our community.
Pre-K Program.
Launched in 2024, our Pre-K Program is the newest addition in Esperanza House. This program is dedicated to giving our youngest learners a strong foundation for success in school and beyond. Research shows that early childhood education is critical in shaping a child’s future success. Our program is designed to help children build essential social and emotional skills, learning to get along with other children while learning about foundational concept in numbers, letters, shapes, art, and science.
Food Distribution.
Our food distribution program serves 85 Hispanic families and their children in our community. We aim to provide food accessibility to Hispanic families who are experiencing food insecurity in our community. Fresh produce, meat, baked goods, and beverages are provided in our food distribution. This program ensures our families have the access to nutritious food which is vital for maintaining good health.
Youth Camps.
Esperanza House assists children in participating in a wide variety of camps including youth ministry camps, Auburn University educational programs, and swimming lessons. These activities benefit development and allow them to build meaningful relationships with their peers.
